CREATE A COMPELLING TEAM VISION FOR YOUR LAUNCH
Every project, product, or company begins with the seed of an idea. This simple idea grows into a vision. For a vision to catch fire and take shape in the real world, it needs a capable leader. But a vision that will really make an impact is too big for one person to handle. The capable leader needs followers to spread the vision. The vision needs a committed team to make it real. A team that has bought into and believes in the vision.
As a leader, you must work with your team to carry our your vision. Your new launch depends on your team understanding the vision and being on board. The success of your launch depends on your team’s “buy in”. If they are not on board with your vision, they could cause significant damage to your launch. A team member who is not on board with the vision can cause innumerable problems. Because they don’t feel emotionally connected to the vision, they may procrastinate. They may work halfheartedly, causing missed deadline after missed deadline. Internal strife can result from team members being on different pages. Worse still, a key team member may quit in the middle of the launch, leaving everyone else scrambling.
THE BUY IN PROJECT PHASES
INTAKE & DISCOVERY
During the Intake and Discovery phase, we will look at foundational information about the organization and the project. We will ask the questions, “what is the vision for this launch?” and “what would have to be true for this launch to be successful?” Once we understand our target, we can take the appropriate aim to help the launch be successful through organizational buy in.
